St Faith Street Maidstone

Situated right in the heart of Maidstone this cottage is a Listed Grade ll timber framed medieval hall house. These oak framed buildings were built from around 1380 to circa 1500 in the surrounding area and also in the Weald of Kent. Later, two inglenook fireplaces were inserted and the open hall, with its open fire, floored over to create more first floor living space.

The house is heavily timbered with a dragon beam in the living room supporting the jetty which overhangs the outside of the house.

On the ground floor a kitchen-dining area with all the utensils needed for a family stay, a gas hob and electric oven, Toaster, Dishwasher, Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer. Also on the ground floor is the living room with a flat-screen TV with satellite reception, DVD player and a log effect gas fire. The property has recently been completely refurbished and has full mains gas fired central heating with an adjustable wall thermostat and unlimited hot water from a combination boiler.

On the first floor is the master bedroom which is a lovely large bright airy room with a heavily timbered double height ceiling. It is well furnished with traditional furniture and a very comfortable king-sized four poster bed.

Also on the first floor is a single bedroom and a bathroom with a good sized walk-in shower with constant hot water.

Above the single bedroom is a very cosy attic room with a single bed and a balcony overlooking the lower floors.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

Please note smoking is strictly not permitted on the premises.

The building would not be suitable for disabled access due to bathroom facilities being on the first floor.
